2010 Windy City Classic

The 2010 Windy City Classic Invitational is April 23-24, hosted by New Trier and Loyola Academy. This year, 43 schools from Chicago, Madison, St. Louis, Cleveland, Columbus and Pittsburg will participate in this annual event that promotes and celebrates the growth of girls lacrosse. New Trier has been hosting a tournament since 1995, and in 2002 the invitational was named the "Windy City Classic" to help promote the growth of lacrosse in the Chicagoland area.

The invitational will also feature 15 different schools that have either won a state championship or been state runner-up. State Champions include MICDS, John Burroughs and Lafayette from Missouri; Loyola Academy, New Trier, Lake Forest and Hinsdale Central from Illinois; Arrowhead from Wisconsin; Cleveland Heights and Upper Arlington from Ohio. State runner-ups include Verona from Wisconsin; Nerinx Hall and Parkway West from Missouri; Sewickley from Pennsyvlania; Hathaway Brown from Ohio.

The schedule is listed below. Over 60 games will be played, starting at 5 pm on Friday and from 9 am - 6 pm on Saturday.

The 2006 Windy City Classic Lacrosse Tournament was April 21-22 and featured 40 teams from Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Missouri, Wisconsin and for the first time, schools from Pittsburg and Baltimore, MD. New Trier would like to thank the new schools for participating in this year's Windy City Classic, and especially thank the athletic department, grounds crew, athletic trainers and parent boosters for making the tournament such a tremendous success.

It was a great weekend of lacrosse that featured competitive and exciting games, beautiful weather and a fun atmosphere. Below are the records of the top teams, game results and the Warrior All-Tournament Team and Outstanding Offensive and Defensive Players of the Tournament.

The 2007 Windy City Classic combined great weather with great lacrosse, as 40 teams enjoyed the weekend. It was a great celebration of the growth of girls lacrosse in the Chicagoland area, as almost 2,000 players, coaches, parents and fans came to New Trier and Loyola to watch over 50 games.
